Chiropractic Treatment

What will my first visit to the Chiropractor be like?

This seems to be the question on everyone mind. It’s also a very good question if you’ve never been to see a Chiropractor before.

If chiropractic is new to you, you probably have some questions about what happens in a Chiropractic office. Here is what to expect on your first visit with our clinic’s DC.

Consultation:

At the initial consultation, Dr Kagdi will sit down with you and briefly explain how Chiropractic treatments can benefit your health condition. Then you will talk about everything he needs to know about your condition. You will be asked questions such as “when did the pain begin?”, “how often do you get the pain?”, “Describe how it feels?” All the questions will be geared towards getting a better understanding of your condition. After the consultation, we will have a better idea if we can help you or not. If Dr Kagdi can help you then we will proceed to the examination.

Examination:

If the consultation has led us to believe that we can help you then a physical examination will be performed. During the examination specific tests will be performed to pinpoint the exact cause of your pain. These tests include a computerized spinal analysis, postural analysis and range of motion test.

The computerized spinal analysis is done using state of the art scanner know as the Subluxation Station. The Subluxation Station is used to detect exact areas of problem in the spine.

X-Rays:

The next step is to take x-rays of your spine. X-rays will give us a better understanding of what’s going on inside your body. X-rays may not be necessary for everyone. Once we have completed the consultation and examination, we will determine whether you need x-rays or not.

Your first visit is almost done. The next step is to schedule you for a Report of Findings appointment. During the Report of Findings visit, the following four questions will be answered:

1) What is going on with you?

2) If I can help you?

3) How long will it take?

4) How much will it cost?

The reality is that we are all created differently. Therefore, the answers to these four questions will be different for each person. In our office, we structure a specific care plan for each individual based on the findings from the first visit.
